Alan LaVern

Bean (born March 15, 1932 in Wheeler, Texas) , sea captain, an American astronaut. Underwent a course of exper imental pilots, the Navy (Navy Test Pilot School) in Patuxent Riv er, Maryland. After its completion he is testing various aircraft for naval aviation. Had a chance to be the commander of a space shuttle crew during the first mission of the Spacelab laboratory science. Because of delays the third time in space is no longer flew.
